Welcome to Life's Countless Journeys

Hello my name is Morine, I am an over 50 single female living in Ontario Canada. I was born in Jamaica but came to Canada at the age of 3 with my adoptive parents. I am a mother of 2 young adults whom I raised as a single parent. I have decided to blog my life experiences as a single mom and a plus-size black woman over 50 going through many life transitions. I will also blog about my struggles living with a chronic illness while dating and somewhat making the choice to live alone.

My immediate blog posts will be centered around issues that I am currently facing in my life, such as dealing with the loss of loved ones, parenting a child with a mental illness, financial struggles of a single mother, over 50 and alone, and also transitioning into menopause. I will also post opinion blogs centered around current life issues in the news or more widespread topics that also impact me.

This will mostly be me writing about my life and hoping that as I discuss the various topics it will bring comfort to someone somewhere to know that they are not alone, whether it is dealing with childhood trauma from sexual abuse, domestic violence, or the pain of experiencing miscarriage and stillbirth I will be open and honest about my experience in each situation.
